The ILX is the only luxury model on the top ten list of Generation Y car shoppers according to J.D. Power and Associates, and the 2014 ILX gets upgraded 17-inch alloy wheels, while the interior receives new leather seating surfaces and leatherette door liners, an eight-way power driver's seat, heated front seats and a Multi-Angle Rearview Camera. The ride experience is further enhanced by a new audio-system subwoofer and an Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) system that are standard features on the 2014 ILX, which starts at a manufacturer's suggested retail price* (MSRP) of $26,900, an increase of just $1,000.

Three advanced powertrain choices are available for 2014 ILX, with a standard 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine that produces 150 horsepower. Paired with a Sequential SportShift 5-speed automatic transmission, it has an EPA ** city/highway/combined fuel economy rating of 24/35/28 mpg. For a more dynamic driving experience, the ILX can be equipped with a close-ratio, six-speed manual transmission matched to a 2.4-liter engine generating 201 horsepower, and earning an EPA ** city/highway/combined fuel economy rating of 22/31/25 mpg. Honda To Be Partnering Sponsor in 2013 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

Honda to participate as sponsor and race participant, with plans to campaign an unprecedented 10 Honda and Acura products in nine race classes.

Acura's entry in last year's Pikes Peak event, the HPD NSX
As a further extension of its growing commitment to grassroots racing in North America, Honda announced that it is making a major commitment to the 2013 running of the legendary Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, as both a sponsor and race participant, with plans to field products in nine race classes, a first for any OEM in a single Pikes Peak event.

American Honda Motor Co., Inc. will serve as the Partnering Sponsor for the 2013 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, the first time the company has participated as a corporate sponsor of the legendary race event. The 91st running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is scheduled for June 30, 2013 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

"Pikes Peak presents us with a unique opportunity to showcase Honda's diverse product lineup and to energize Honda fans around world, as we work to further strengthen Honda's presence in racing at all levels," said Mike Accavitti, Senior Vice President of Automotive Operations for American Honda. "Our associates will be working hard between now and Race Day to prepare this diverse field of race vehicles and showcase the Honda racing spirit."

With support from Honda's North American R&D and motorsports companies – Honda R&D Americas, Inc. and Honda Performance Development, Inc. – the company will campaign a broad range of Honda and Acura vehicles, as well as Honda motorcycles and ATVs. Honda will showcase its diverse range of fun-to-drive/ride products and will field 10 products in nine race classes, the most ever for a single race participant.

Acura will be represented in two classes:
Pikes Peak Open - Acura NSX (1st Generation) - Driven by, James Robinson
Time Attack - Acura TL SH-AWD - Driven by: Brian Shanfield

Honda has competed in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on a less ambitious scale in the recent past. In 2011, Honda campaigned a Fit hatchback that was built and piloted by Honda engineers from North America. In 2012, the company fielded an Acura NSX powered by an ALMS P2 twin-turbo V-6 engine supplied by Honda Performance Development (HPD), and outfitted with an ex-Le Mans body and wide body kit, with support from members of the Ohio-based Honda of America Race Team (HART). Prior to that, Honda set records in the EV class in 1994 and 1999 with the Honda EV Plus. This year also marks the return of advanced Honda EV technology to America's second-oldest race, in the form of a 2013 Honda Fit EV.

2014 Acura RLX - The Reviews Are In

The 2014 Acura RLX is the most powerful, spacious, and technologically advanced Acura sedan ever.

2014 Acura RLX - Reviews

Powered by an all-new 310-horsepower direct-injected V-6 engine, and featuring an array of Acura signature technologies, including Precision All-Wheel Steer™, Jewel Eye™ LED headlights, and the next generation of the AcuraLink® connected car system, the RLX fulfills Acura's commitment to creating "the synergy between man and machine" and delivers new levels of technology-enhanced performance, comfort and convenience in Acura's flagship sedan.

From Men's Health -
Acura’s new queen mother sedan, the RLX, is full of surprises....I tried this out on a 120-mile highway jaunt, and was flabbergasted by the precision.

From AutoBlog -
Front passengers in the RLX are treated to supportive, nicely appointed leather seats with good amounts of side and butt bolstering. In back, the three-passenger bench is equally supportive, and two full-size adults will have no trouble getting comfy back there. When it comes to all-important rear legroom, the RLX's 38.8 inches of stretchable space bests smaller numbers from midsize luxury competitors like the BMW 5 Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Lexus GS and Audi A6.

From AutoGuide -
There’s a lane keeping assist feature that will monitor the road ahead and then add steering if it detects you’re sliding out of your lane. We tested it at highway speeds, and it will keep the car in its lane as the road curves, even with no hands on the wheel!

From MotorTrend -
The overall design is more elegant than flashy, in line with Acura's current sedan styling directive.  The interior has also been revamped. Our car was trimmed in high-quality, well-stitched leather and looked worth every penny of its price.

Acura TL Wins "Best Cars for Families" Award From U.S. News & World Report

2013 Acura TL named Best Upscale Midsize Car for Families

The 2013 TL, Acura's performance luxury sedan, has been named "Best Upscale Midsize Car for Families" by U.S. News & World Report in its 2013 "Best Cars for Families" awards.

"The Acura TL offers the ideal blend of performance, comfort and safety, resulting in a luxury sedan that's a smart choice for families," said Mike Accavitti, vice president of national marketing operations. "The TL provides parents with the performance they desire in a luxury sedan paired with a well-appointed interior, top safety ratings, a host of standard Acura technologies and spacious second row seating that is ideal for clients and children."

The "Best Cars for Families" awards combine quality, size and family-friendly features into a composite score. Quality is measured using a weighted average of scores from the U.S. News rankings at the time the awards are published. The rankings compare cars on the basis of safety, reliability and a consensus of automotive critics' opinions. Size is based on a vehicle's seating capacity and interior space. For family-friendly features, U.S. News factors in the availability of features deemed to be helpful to families by its editors.

The 2013 TL, featuring Acura's Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) body structure, was among the first vehicles to receive the highest possible safety rating of TOP SAFETY PICK+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) under its more-stringent testing guidelines. ACE is an exclusive body design that enhances occupant protection and crash compatibility in frontal crashes. Standard safety equipment on all Acura models includes Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®) with traction control, ABS, dual-stage/multiple-threshold front airbags, front-side airbags, side curtain airbags for all outboard seating positions, front seatbelts with automatic tensioning system and load limiters, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and Daytime Running Lights (DRL).

The 2013 Acura TL is offered in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive drivetrain configurations. The front-wheel drive TL is powered by an all-aluminum, 3.5-liter, 24-valve, VTEC® V-6 engine that produces 280 horsepower and 254 lb-ft of torque. The all-wheel drive version of the TL utilizes Acura's Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®) system and comes equipped with an all-aluminum,  3.7-liter, 24-valve, VTEC®  V-6 engine that produces 305 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. Both versions are equipped with a Sequential SportShift 6-speed automatic transmission as standard. For the enthusiast, a 6-speed manual transmission is available on the TL SH-AWD model when equipped with the Technology Package.
The 2013 Acura TL offers an outstanding array of standard features such as premium leather seats; adjustable, power front seats with 2-position driver's seat memory settings; Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink® cellular telephone interface; an 8-speaker, 276-watt audio system with a 6-disc CD changer, AM/FM radio, XM® Radio, Bluetooth® Audio and USB port and AUX jack connectivity; Dual-zone, dual-mode automatic climate control system with auto humidity control; power moonroof; and aluminum wheels, sized at 17x8 inches for the front-wheel drive TL and 18x8 inches for the TL with SH-AWD.

Acura MDX Wins "Best Cars For The Money" Award From U.S. News & World Report

The dynamically styled, seven-passenger 2013 Acura MDX has been named the "Best Luxury 3-Row Midsize SUV for the Money" by U.S. News & World Report in its 2013 Best Cars for the Money awards.

U.S. News & World Reports - 2013 Best Cars for the Money 2013 Acura MDX - Sunnyside Acura Nashua, NH

The Acura MDX has long been recognized as a benchmark vehicle in its class, combining outstanding performance and fuel efficiency with a spacious and versatile cabin, refined luxury appointments, and advanced Acura-exclusive technologies such as Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®), Acura/ELS Surround Premium audio, Acura Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and blind spot information system (BSI).

"The Acura MDX continues to serve as the benchmark vehicle in its class and this award is evidence of that," said Mike Accavitti, vice president of national marketing operations. "We can't wait to launch the next-generation 2014 Acura MDX later this year. The all-new luxury performance SUV will advance on the current MDX's already great dynamic performance, while improving fuel economy and luxury comfort."

The "Best Cars for the Money" methodology combines quality and value data into a composite score. Within each of 21 award categories, the vehicle with the highest score is named the "Best Car for the Money" in that category. Quality is measured by the overall score a vehicle achieved in the U.S. News car rankings at the time the awards are published. The rankings, updated monthly at http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/cars-trucks/Best-Cars-for-the-Money/, compare cars on the basis of safety, reliability and a consensus of industry experts' opinions. Value is measured by a combination of a vehicle's five-year total cost of ownership and the average price paid for the vehicle at the time the awards are published.

The 2013 MDX is powered by a 300-horsepower, all-aluminum, 3.7-liter VTEC® V-6 engine mated to a Sequential SportShift 6-speed automatic transmission and Acura's torque vectoring Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system. The MDX, featuring Acura's Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) body structure, achieves a top 5-star U.S. government safety rating, and a TOP SAFEY PICK rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
